Review: Contaminants from Ivy AIA

Ivy Aïa is a Danish skincare brand with a wide range of products for the face, body and eye area. At Zeroallergy, you will find Ivy Aïa products that are AllergyCertified, so you can use the certification as a guide when choosing skincare.

In this review, we take a closer look at Ivy Aïa and some of the products that may be relevant if you are looking for allergy-friendly skincare. We also look at what has changed since the original review from 2021 and how you can choose between the different products today.

What is Ivy Aïa?

Ivy Aïa is a skincare brand focused on making skincare simple and accessible. The range includes face creams, cleansing products, serums, face masks, body care and products for the eye area.

At Zeroallergy, you will only find Ivy Aïa products that are AllergyCertified. This makes it easier to navigate the range if allergy-friendly skincare is an important part of your choice.

AllergyCertified is a certification where a product's formulation is assessed according to defined criteria. The assessment focuses, among other things, on the risk of contact allergy and on ingredients known to be allergenic or otherwise problematic. The certification is not a guarantee that no one can react to a product, but it can be a useful guide when comparing skincare products.

Ivy Aïa review – which products are worth considering?

In the original review from 2021, we tested three Ivy Aïa products: Eyelash Growth Serum, Cleansing Oil with Macadamia Oil & Vitamin E and Face Cream with ProVitamin B5.

Since then, the Ivy Aïa range has expanded, and some of the products mentioned in the original article are no longer available at Zeroallergy. It therefore makes more sense to look at Ivy Aïa based on the current range.

Today, you will find face creams, cleansing products, face serums and masks from Ivy Aïa at Zeroallergy. This means you can build a skincare routine based on your skin type and needs.

Face care

Among the current face products, you will find Ivy Aïa Face Cream B5, Ivy Aïa Anti Age Face Cream, Ivy Aïa 24H Hydration Day & Night and Ivy Aïa Face Cream for dry skin.

For the eye area, there is also Ivy Aïa Eye Cream.

Which cream is right for you depends on your skin and what you want from your daily skincare routine.

If your skin feels dry, a cream developed for dry skin may be a good place to start. If you want a simple day and night routine, you can instead look at one of the more versatile face creams.

Facial cleansing

A good skincare routine starts with a cleanser that suits your skin.

Ivy Aïa has several cleansing products in its current range. These include Ivy Aïa Cleansing Mousse, Ivy Aïa Facial Gel Wash and Ivy Aïa Creamy Milk Cleanser.

The different types of cleansing products can be used in different ways, so it is a good idea to look at the product's directions before choosing.

If you prefer a creamy cleansing experience, Creamy Milk Cleanser may be interesting. If you prefer a foaming cleanser, Cleansing Mousse may be an alternative.

You can see more options under Ivy Aïa facial cleansers.

Ivy Aïa Face Serum

Ivy Aïa also has a wide range of face serums. These include Ivy Aïa Face Serum Collagen Booster, Ivy Aïa Face Serum Hyaluronic Acid, Ivy Aïa Face Serum Vitamin C and Ivy Aïa Face Serum Niacinamide.

This can make it difficult to know which serum to choose.

A good rule of thumb is to start with your needs rather than choosing based on the largest possible number of active ingredients. If, for example, you want to focus on hydration, a serum with hyaluronic acid may be relevant. If you want to add vitamin C to your routine, there is also an Ivy Aïa Vitamin C Face Serum.

Ivy Aïa Eyelash Serum

Ivy Aïa is also known for its eyelash serum.

The current Ivy Aïa Eyelash Growth Serum has a different formulation from the version described in the original review.

The current formulation contains, among other things, Panthenol, Glycerin, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1 and Sodium Hyaluronate. The product is applied along the upper lash line once a day, and the current product information states that it may take 4–6 weeks to see results.

Which Ivy Aïa products should you choose?

There is no single Ivy Aïa product that is best for everyone.

The best place to start is therefore with your specific needs:

If you are looking for You can consider
Facial cleanser Cleansing Mousse, Facial Gel Wash or Creamy Milk Cleanser
Moisturiser Face Cream B5, Face Cream for dry skin or 24H Hydration Day & Night
Face serum Collagen Booster, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C or Niacinamide
Face mask Face Sheet Mask Glow or Face Sheet Mask Hydrate
Eyelash serum Ivy Aïa Eyelash Growth Serum
Eyebrows Ivy Aïa Eyebrow Growth Serum

The range changes over time, so it is always a good idea to check the current product description and directions when choosing.

Are Ivy Aïa products allergy-friendly?

At Zeroallergy, you will only find Ivy Aïa products that are AllergyCertified.

This means that the products have been assessed according to the criteria of AllergyCertified. This is relevant if you want to take the risk of contact allergy into account when choosing skincare.

It is important, however, to distinguish between being AllergyCertified and a guarantee against allergic reactions. No cosmetic product can guarantee that everyone will tolerate it.

If you have a known allergy or react to specific ingredients, you should always read the current ingredient list for the individual product.

Our review of Ivy Aïa

Ivy Aïa has developed from a smaller range of skincare products into a broader selection with products for different needs.

This makes the brand relevant if you want to build a simple skincare routine with AllergyCertified products.

At the same time, a larger range can make it more difficult to know where to start. We therefore recommend basing your choice on your skin type and specific needs rather than choosing several products at once.

Start with a good cleanser or moisturiser, and add a serum if you have a specific skincare need.
